Bellator 252 features the return of the Featherweight Grand Prix tomorrow, November 12, 2020! The tournament continues to the quarter finals after a lengthy delay due to COVID-19. The event takes place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut at 8PM CST on CBS Sports Network.
In the co-main event we have Daniel Weichel (40-11) taking on Emmanuel Sanchez (19-4). Weichel comes off a win against Saul Rogers. Sanchez defeated Tywan Claxton to advance to quarter finals. The two have faced off before, with Weichel winning by decision in 2016. Sanchez is looking to avenge his loss and move onto the next round of the tournament.
The main event features reigning champ, Patricio Pitbull (30-4) and Pedro Carvalho (11-3). During the bracket picks, Pitbull used his champ wildcard to switch up the bracket to face off with Carvalho over Adam Borics. This decision may have been the desire to have a later fight date. Carvalho has advanced to the quarterfinals with a win over Sam Sicilia.
Next week, the Bellator Grand Prix continues with AJ McKee coming back from knee surgery and a dominant win over Derek Campos. His challenger, Darrion Caldwell, will stand opposite the cage, having defeated Adam Borics in an early round 1 submission choke.
