September 11th, 2019. EXCLUSIVE: Serena “Southpaw Outlaw” DeJesus tells Amanda Sanchez of Unknown MMA that she has officially signed a multi-fight contract with Invicta Fighting Championship. The Women’s bantamweight fighter is currently 1-0 in her professional career and 5-2 in her amateur career, she has been training in Mixed Martial Arts since 2013.

Serena DeJesus currently trains in Las Vegas at Syndicate MMA with head coach John Wood. Her training partners include Roxanne Modaferri, Manjit Kolekar, Jessica Borga, Joanne Calderwood, Sarah Kauffman, and Ariane Lipski.

Being the first female MMA fighter with diagnosed autism, Serena is known on social media for her outspoken Autism advocacy as a Fight For Autism ambassador. She coaches the kids BJJ class at Syndicate MMA. Serena is a fighter with a purpose, she uses and intends to continue to use her elevated platform to educate fans about autism.■
